About us
The goal of the Bolex-renovation Inc. has been to use craftsmanship, technology and superior materials to provide elegant and quality flooring to all residential and commercial clients in the past and continue into the new millennium. Bosko Zivkovic and his team of professionals have been serving the industry for more then 15 years.
Our installation specialties include a wide range of traditional and customized borders; laser cut inlays and custom patterns. Installation is complemented by custom-made stain to suit every look.
The Bolex-renovation has made a commitment to environmental responsibility by ensuring that all source material is purchased from suppliers who are concerned about the preservation of our natural resources. We purchase raw material from suppliers who use only the highest standard in forestry practices, thus assuring the conservation and replenishment of our forests.
Our products by their very nature are, "environmentally friendly". A hardwood floor is a lifetime purchase. Conversely, other floor coverings must be replaced periodically, thus utilizing more energy and manmade materials. Wood should be your environmentally smart choice because it is a natural renewable and biodegradable product.
Floor Care and Maintenance
The importance of proper maintenance of wood flooring is essential for a lifetime of beauty.
Sweep, dust mop or vacuum daily using appropriate soft bristle attachment to remove loose dirt and grit before it can scratch the surface of the floor.
Thoroughly clean the kitchen area more often than other areas.
While most food spills will not harm the surface it is advisable to promptly wipe up with a dry cloth or paper towels. The spill should then be cleaned with a recommended cleaner preferably Squeaky Clean.
Never clean your hardwood with water. Never use products such as soaps, detergents and oil soaps to clean your floor.
Only use products recommended by the manufacturer. If the manufacturer is not known, a general hardwood floor cleaner (Squeaky Clean) can be used.
Place area rugs or mats at doorways and in front of the kitchen sink to help catch dirt, grit and water. Never use rubber or plastic backed as it may damage the floor. Solid cotton is highly recommended.
Never use sheet vinyl or tile floor care products on wood floors.
Spike heels, cleats and work shoes can be damaging to wood floors.
Humidity control is highly recommended. To reduce excessive shrinkage in the winter a humidifier is recommended and air conditioning or a dehumidifier for the summer.
To move furniture properly across a wood floor it should be picked up. Do not drag it under a carpet. This will create small scratches across the finish.
Narrow guides and certain types of casters can damage hardwood floors. It is recommended to change to the wide type guides to help prevent damage.
Fabric protectors are a must for all furniture legs. This will help prevent scratching. Bolex-renovation recommends E-Z Glides.
